Firstly – Happy Christmas!!
We hope you all have a wonderful covid free Christmas and that you get a chance to put your feet up and play with your new tech – or simply put the kids’ lego together! Alternatively, switch it all off, put your feet up and read a book if you can. For those doing the cooking then good luck .. and we hope it all comes out great!
Ever thought about Graph Theory
An amazing data science video produced by Tori Tompkins introducing graphs and how they work! It is short and punchy – be sure to check it out. 🙌🏽
There is a data engineering (free) course starting in Jan for anyone who might be interested. Thanks for the heads up Katherine!
At DataTalks.Club we’re running a free data engineer course next month. We’ll cover:
- Data warehousing (BigQuery)
- Batch processing (Airflow, Spark)
- Analytics engineering (DBT)
- Stream processing (Kafka)
- And other things!
While we’re talking data we found this free tableau course – for those that don’t know then its a great data visualisation tool and well worth a look.
If you are interested in any of our candidates please contact us at email@example.com to discuss. If any of you are looking for jobs then feel free to send us your requirements and we can put you on our candidate’s list.
Job(s) of the Week
There are some top jobs from our clients wanting to make a difference and ensure that they reach out to recruit a more diverse workforce. Please take a look and contact them if you are interested as often companies are open to discussing other openings with potential candidates also. We have some new ones coming in this week and will update you when they arrive. For now check out all of the jobs on our jobs board and get in touch if you want to reach out to our members at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re taking a break for Christmas and will be back in the new year – we’ll start off with an Extraordinary General meeting on January the 12th where we’d like members to pop along and let us know what you want from us this coming year. We do have an option to go back to Desklodge and run live but want to understand your views on this. We’ll put the event details together shortly so keep an eye out on our media.
No more conferences this year that we’ve spotted, so take a break and put your feet up – we’re sure they’ll be racing back in in the new year!
As a suggestion from one of our lovely members (Thanks Gabs #1!), we have also set up a “buymeacoffee” page for those wanting to give us a small thank-you. Check it out here.
