Girl Geek Dinners
We’re back on it and have some irons in the fire as the saying goes and we have a date with Forgerock on the 26th, sign up via meetup.

Amy Millard from immersive labs talking about her journey into tech
Amy Millard (She/Her) is a cloud engineer in immersive labs infrastructure team based in Bristol. When she isn’t ensuring their platform runs smoothly for their customers, she enjoys reading, baking and lifting heavy weights. She also loves to dance and teaches Zumba at her local leisure centre. With her scrum half days behind her, she now gets her rugby fix by helping to coach an U7s mini rugby team and spending weekends cheering on her two sons when they play for their school and club teams.
She will be talking through her journey from motherhood to reskilling and making her mark in a great tech role.
If anyone has a company that would like to host a meetup then feel free to get them to mail us on info@wthub.org.
Immersive Audio Network LaunchWed 8th February 2023 6pm to 8pm, The Studio in Bath

Brand new for the region! Listening to industry and community needs and responding to MyWorld research, Dr Ruth Farrar is establishing an Immersive Audio Network for Bath and Bristol-based practitioners, educators and enthusiasts.
The aims of the network are to share our region’s creative practices to encourage industry progression, support inclusive talent pipelines and signpost career development opportunities. Many people who work in this field tend to work solo or in small teams so it’s also an excellent opportunity to connect with like-minded soundies.
Spark your inspiration with our sonic smorgasbord of immersive audio from Bath, Bristol and beyond at the launch featuring Michelle Roche, Duncan Speakman, Jack Hardiker and many more. Alongside the launch being a friendly networking opportunity complete with a complimentary drinks reception, we will also be sharing details about an exciting funded opportunity for mid-career sound professionals in collaboration with Real World Studios and Watershed.
