Happy International Women in Engineering Day

Today is Happy International Women in Engineering Day (23rd June) so big shout out to all of us in the industry and striving to support our colleagues and other women to make the move into a great industry.

We do have one conference in town this week and the sparkies awards so welcome to …

The Sparkies

This year the awards will be held in the UNESCO world heritage city of Bath, at the Assembly Rooms, on 27 June 2019 and if you’ve been to the SPARKies before you’ll know it’s a great night for digital debauchery, comedy and community with awards for everything from outstanding tech startups to mentors, hardware, virtual reality and more. Good luck to all the nominees and say hi to WTHub Constance Fleuriot if you are there as she is one of the judges!

DrupalCamp Bristol 2019 Friday June 28th

“The main conference day will be held from 9am until 5pm on Friday the 28th of June at The Station, Silver St. There will be a wide range of talks on a single track allowing technical and non-technical attendees to enjoy their day. “

Workshop Wednesdays

Our next Workshop Wednesday will be on the 3rd July and we are putting together some very exciting things for you. First, we would like to welcome troublemakers, they are all about the voice and empowerment and we have a free place for one lucky member at their events – they have one running this week here. Contact us on info@wthub.org for a free place if you can’t afford to attend.

Python Self-Led Study Groups: initial meeting by CodeHub Bristol will be continuing at the next one also. As will Grrrl games – although this may not be managed separately we would like to offer up the hobbit room at each event to any gaming enthusiasts check out their website for further details. We should see the return of my Newton for business/financial advice – more to follow, ADLIB will be there to help support on any CV/career advice as they do on our F3F events. We may have one or two more gems .. with a UX workshop being planned currently.
