This year we’ll be celebrating the amazing work that women engineers around the world are doing to support lives and livelihoods every day.

Who Inspired You? Every day should be International Women in Engineering Day!

To mark the occasion, the BioTrib EU European Training Network, the School of Mechanical Engineering (University of Leeds) and the IMechE BioMedical Engineering Division (BmED) in Yorkshire have teamed up to bring you an online event – with presentations and panel discussions from a range of leading women working across engineering within Yorkshire.
AeroWomen22

AeroWomen provides an excellent networking opportunity between those women who have established careers in Aerospace, as well as a platform for the future generation to meet potential employers and understand that there is space for them in the sector.
INWED22 ICE Bristol City Club – Panel Discussion

To celebrate this day, we have brought together 5 panellists to discuss their thoughts and ideas for how we can work towards gender parity within the industry. The theme of this year’s International Women in Engineering Day is ‘Innovators and Inventors.’
In the spirit of this, we will be discussing the ways innovation and invention can be used to attract and retain more women as well as the ‘Innovators and Inventors’ who have inspired them #ImagineTheFuture’.
Black Women in Engineering Let’s Talk: INWED Edition

BWEng present a ‘Let’s Talk: INWED edition’ round table talk where we invite women in engineering across the globe to connect, share and inspire each other as we reflect on our journeys, successes and learnings to date whilst envisioning our future goals, dreams and ambitions.
Girl Power in Engineering

Future engineers of Teesside, if you are in Y9/Y10/Y11 then you are invited to our group engineering event to share with you all the benefits to starting a career in Engineering. With talks from some of Teesside’s successful female engineers you can tour our industry workshops, ask questions, grab some yummy refreshments and think a little more about if a career in engineering could be for you.
International Women in Engineering Day- Engineering Around the World – Bath

The aim of this event is to encourage discussion about the experiences of women in engineering around the world to broaden our knowledge and understanding.
Oxford – International Women in Engineering Day

To celebrate International Women in Engineering Day 2022, we are inviting female* sixth form students to Oxford to learn about the subject of Engineering Science. This event will take place from 09:30-16:00, Thursday 23 June at the Department of Engineering Science, Thom Building.

useR! 2022 The R User Conference All-virtual • Global20 – 23rd of June

useR! 2022 is an all-virtual conference. useR! is an annual nonprofit conference organized by R community volunteers and supported by the R Foundation. Attendees include R developers and users who are data scientists, business intelligence specialists, analysts, statisticians from academia and industry, and students. The conferences showcase applications of R software and developments in the software itself, as well as new and updated R packages that provide boundless additional functionality to R. Community contributions form the foundation of useR! conferences.
Women in Data Science (WiDS) London • London June the 23rd

We are delighted to announce we will be hosting our next WiDS London 2022 Conference in-person event on June 23rd, and we invite you to register to attend. Please register through Eventbrite.
This year, our theme is Data Science for Grown-Ups, welcoming presentations and practical demonstrations on Data Ethics, Responsible & Explainable AI, Bias Detection & Mitigation, and a Hackathon using current industry used cases.
