This weeks events – Ada and the womens feminist archive on tour
Nationwide on the 9th October in Swindon – Carly Dyson has been busy helping on this and Dr Sue Black will be speaking .. very exciting. Its also supporting women wanting to get into Tech so very much up our street! Ada Lovelace Day @ Nationwide, supporting women in technology.
Celebrating Ada Lovelace Day at NHSBT Bristol 9th October @ 9:30 am – 3:30 pm will be opening the doors of their centre to female students of all ages in Bristol. Throughout the day students will have the chance to visit a blood centre, see demonstrations of the careers at NHS Blood and Transplant and listen to talks by inspirational women working in STEM. The engine Shed are also celebrating with Inspiring women and girls in STEM – celebrating Ada Lovelace Day. It runs from 4- 6pm and theres a great lineup of speakers.
Tech for Good Bath is back this week on Wednesday talking Technology supporting people with disabilities . Alongside the initial speaker line-up of Barry from OpenUp Music and Hazel from Designability they are also being joined by Liam from Bristol Braille and Louise from Wiltshire Service Users Network!
Inclusive Design 24 is a free 24-hour online event for the global community and Eriol Fox will be speaking Diverse representations in design and awkward conversations with colleagues https://inclusivedesign24.org/2018/schedule/ 10am- 11 October
