Yay – Summer break is coming

Summary

We're a bit giddy as we take a break for the summer and can't wait for it - this Wednesday is our last Workshop Wednesday event and we are so excited that we are going to treat you all to pizzas! We've had a great term with our new more relaxed format which has bought in a variety of new faces and a great atmosphere.

We’re a bit giddy as we take a break for the summer and can’t wait for it – this Wednesday is our last Workshop Wednesday event and we are so excited that we are going to treat you all to pizzas! We’ve had a great term with our new more relaxed format which has bought in a variety of new faces and a great atmosphere. We plan to continue with the same format in the autumn but will happily host other learning groups with the same ethos so feel free to reach out to us on info@wthub.org.

Our Events

We’re back this week with:

CodeHub @WorkshopWednesdays: “in the real” by CodeHub Bristol • Bristol and Workshop Wednesdays by Women’s Tech Hub ~ Bristol • Bristol

Conferences

EuroPython 11-17 July

The oldest and longest running volunteer-led Python programming conference on the planet! Join us in July in the beautiful and vibrant city of Dublin. We’ll be together, face to face and online, to celebrate our shared passion for Python and its community!

A week of all things Python:

  • Monday & Tuesday, 11 & 12 July: Tutorials & Workshops
  • Wednesday–Friday, 13-15 July: Conference talks & sponsor exhibition
  • Saturday & Sunday, 16 & 17 July: Sprints
Develop:Brighton 12 – 14th July

Develop:Brighton is the only event in the UK that brings the entire game-making industry together – from global superstars to micro indies, to learn from each other, share ideas and experiences, network and do business in a friendly and inclusive environment. And we’ve been doing it since 2006.

We’ve been listening to our community and this year part of the key focus of the conference programme will be on practical take-away and more vocational content to offer you the chance to “skill-up” to do what you do even better.

FinTech North 14th of July

The FinTech sector in the North East has developed and expanded considerably since the conference was last in the region, doubtless aided by accelerated digital transformation and northern grit and determination. Home to established players such as Sage and Newcastle Strategic Solutions, and innovative FinTech start-ups such as Kani and BottlePay, Newcastle and the North East is fast becoming one of the most exciting FinTech ecosystems in the UK.

Others coming up that we have spotted you can find here.

As a suggestion from one of our lovely members (Thanks Gabs #1!), we have also set up a “buymeacoffee” page for those wanting to give us a small thank-you. Check it out here.

Women’s Tech Hub products

The candidates page advertises the skillsets of the women we have looking for roles in the area (and some of our male allies).

Jobs Board for those wanting to advertise specifically to our members in the area – check it out here.
