From our BJSS colleagues (and our personal favourites for their non-blocking job specifications):
This week we’ve been mainly working out what we want to offer our members, whether those members are companies or individuals. The Women’s Tech Hub (WTH) has some core aims:
A couple of weeks ago we met up with the Economic Secretary to the Treasury Harriet Baldwin, who is also interested in improving gender diversity in the finance and tech industry. We just had a thank-you forwarded on from the company we were invited to meet her by.
We have been working with KETL as you may be aware from our previous blog and now they have just announced their offering of free training sessions with desklodge support – Brilliant News!!
They are looking to promote women back in but we’re sure they are happy for women wanting to move careers to come along and see if it interests them (personally we are also a bit tempted!) Continue reading “Fancy trying out for a career in Data? KETL can help”
To those of you who have been to the F3F we have had some interesting discussions. One that came up was about knowing how much to charge as freelancers. If women charge less then we believe it follows that the industry associate us as being worth less.
