Voxxed Days & Bath Digital Festival

This week we are really excited to have been invited to Voxxed Days.
It’s on the 25th October @ the watershed in Bristol with sessions on topics including Cloud, Big Data, AI, Robotics, Programming Languages, Java, Security, Architecture and Developer.  They have managed to get a 25% female speaker lineup this year which we love and also given us a 30% discount to all our members (which we love even more) so mail us and we can send you the code on info@wthub.org.

It’s Ada Lovelace Day this week!

Celebrating Ada

As I’m sure all of you reading this know, Ada Lovelace  was the first to recognise that the machine had applications beyond pure calculation, and published the first algorithm intended to be carried out by such a machine.  As a result, she is sometimes regarded as the first to recognise the full potential of a computing machine and the first computer programmer.  Every year we celebrate the fact that this is the industry for women to be involved in and this year is no exeption!

Opportunity: Full Stack Web Developer with Newicon Bristol

Newicon got in touch recently as they are looking for a Full Stack Web Developer to join their team and wanted to make sure that plenty of women in tech would see the advert and apply. Needless to say we immediately invited them to come along and give our Free3Friday coffeetalk [MORE INFO HERE], so they are sending Neill Jones along with a couple of packets of biscuits on June 15th at 11am to tell us why you should join their team of designers and full stack developers creating mobile apps and websites in Bristol.

There’s a pdf with all the info from Newicon HERE for you to check out. But don’t just read that, come and talk to Neil on Friday then put in an application – they are starting interviews next week. Continue reading “Opportunity: Full Stack Web Developer with Newicon Bristol”
