Guest blog – Careers Week at Coding Black Females

We are coming towards the end of the year and we continue our journey of supporting Black women to develop and be empowered in the tech industry.

After a great career month earlier this year in February, we want to bring back this opportunity but jam packed into a week! The time has come to put a bit more focus on careers at CBF Academy and we’ll be dedicating a week in November to careers in tech!

Careers week will be made up of daily seminars/workshops/lectures that cover a variety of career topics from:

  • Tech roles
  • CV workshop / CV 101
  • CV/application writing
  • Interview prepping
  • Transferable skills
  • Conflict resolution at work
  • Exploring alternative roles and much more!

We are reaching out to industry professionals who have helped us previously to make Careers Week exciting and impactful once again!

The aim for the week is to encourage our academy students, which has increased from 100 to 261 students, plus the community and graduates to start exploring more tech roles, to jump-start their job search and career development activities.
