Website GreshamTech Gresham

Gresham helps global businesses connect, reconcile and control their data, systems and processes. And in doing so, we deliver something that is vital to modern business. Data confidence. We’re passionate about delivering successful outcomes for our customers and employees, as well as our industry and our community.

Our Development team is responsible for identifying, building and maintaining innovative technologies that solve our customers’ Control and Connect problems. Working collaboratively, our Software Engineers exploit the latest advances in technology to build leading-edge solutions, delivering innovative high-quality software to our customers.

You’ll contribute to all aspects of the development life cycle with the majority of your time devoted to design and coding in Java. We are migrating to an event based microservice architecture, where experience in related technologies such as Spring Boot & Spring Cloud, Apache Kafka, Hashicorp Nomad & Consul would be advantageous.

You’ll already be proactively sharing knowledge outside of immediate projects, helping others develop programming skills and raising awareness of interesting technologies. You embrace modern methodologies and are able to work within self-managed Agile teams utilising Kanban or Scrum.

Responsible for writing high quality, clean, secure and well-tested code, you’re also comfortable identifying appropriate technology and approaches. And you’ll have a passion for new technologies and inspiring others to do the same. Working in a test-driven development team, you’ll be happy pair-programming, using other elements of Agile methodologies. You will need to be happy challenging assumptions as you’ll have opportunities to suggest changes and improvements.

You already have great experience delivering solutions in Java, potentially in Financial Services. Some experience of React and GraphQL would be valuable, as would knowledge of Oracle and Postgres databases. In addition experience of some of the following would be useful: Kafka, Nomad, Consul, Kubernetes, Docker, Spring Cloud or other microservice platforms but we’re equally interested in the new skills and technologies you will bring to us.

A career at Gresham provides a unique blend of agility, innovation, empowerment and warmth. We’re well established with an exciting growth trajectory, global clients and an admired product meaning you can feel secure and confident about your future. But we still retain the agility and intimacy of a small business meaning you can influence change and see the impact of your ideas. We limit hierarchy and are big on collaboration, so you’ll be challenging and stretching yourself every day, working with leading-edge technologies that help improve integrity and accuracy in the FS sector. You’ll feel at home in our friendly, supportive, people-centric culture where we work towards common goals, not individual interests.

Everything we do is underpinned by our values; We Embrace Difference, We Create Together and We Champion Success. We value different backgrounds, experience, expertise and ways of thinking. We encourage curiosity, and respect every individual, recognising that everyone has the potential to bring something extraordinary to Gresham to make it a great place to work. And as you’d expect we offer health, wealth and happiness benefits typically associated with a Fintech organisation.

We are a global organisation with a flexible approach to working whether that’s where you’re based or how you work.
