CPU Design Engineers are responsible for innovation and development of modern microprocessors.

For CPU Design Engineer we are seeking a hardworking, versatile individual with curiosity about learning and good understanding across multiple aspects of CPU design. In this role you will commit to work on complex hardware RTL designs, write and review code and documentation, plan your work, provide tracking and reporting of status in order to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of CPU IP.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Hands-on working knowledge of System Verilog, Verilog or VHDL HDL for RTL design
  • Experience in synthesizable design that achieve area, frequency and power targets
  • Writing specifications and documentation describing complex designs
  • Ability to contribute to different stages of a project work: concept, specification, implementation and testing, support
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of computer architecture

Desirable Experience:

  • Practical experience of working on microprocessor designs
  • Use of SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA)
  • Mentoring team members
  • Knowledge of scripting eg Python, Perl or unix shell scripting
  • Knowledge of assembly language (preferably ARM), C/C++ and/or hardware verification languages e.g. SystemVerilog
  • Technical reviewing of others’ work
  • Capacity for technical and/or team leadership
