To all our Canadian friends and family on July the 1st! (its also national icecream month btw)
We have a few things coming up around wellbeing at work and mental health and while we try to keep this to positive Tech stuff we do think it’s worth sharing a couple of things …
The Tech to Connect Challenge is looking to help civil society develop their early stage ideas for tech that enables more or better interactions between people. Tech can be alienating or divisive for those that are isolated, so we want to help civil society translate their knowledge into good ideas for new ways to connect people.
RSA: The Power of People for Transformative Change – “Connect: Create: Collaborate” Thursday 8th August from our friend Michelle Preston
” What are the differences between community, network and movement? Join us at this one day conference to explore and understand how connected communities, nurturing networks and meaningful movements provide opportunities for us all to “connect: create: collaborate”. “
We also spotted this – a practical film about it showing in BATH, SCREENING OF ‘STEVE’ this Wednesday. They are our brothers/fathers/friends/partners or children and we know of far too many of our members affected so well worth a look.
… and as part of PRIDE we spotted a techy related event Pride of Science on Friday the 5th
We are also involved with a new technical Advisory board with UWE and they have just announced their new masters 1 year Full-time/2 year part-time MSc Financial Technology has been validated, which we love as it spans Finance and Tech, and is a great course to do to help transfer into a very vast growing sector of the Tech world.
