A little while ago a lively talk about the benefits of networking and job searching through social media took place in the coffee break of one of our F3F. The questions arising during this conversation led WTH member Ajara to offer a workshop about LinkedIn. Being a long-time trainer of many tech subjects, she is familiar with the different aspects of social media and their use on a business level.
At a recent F3F, WTHub member Sari Vanska ran a workshop on recognising the transferable skills that make an important addition to CVs and can help us hugely in job interviews. It was a really useful couple of hours, with great input from participants.
With an ‘official’ launch date of Nov 3rd we are working hard on our plans and getting our house in order, still meeting people who are keen to support the women’s tech hub, making connections with companies that support diversity and slowly buillding a community of people who are signing up to our meetup group and LinkedIn.

When we first started scoping out the myriad of things that our Women’s Tech Hub could offer we realised we can’t do everything ourselves and it makes much more sense to find people and organisations that offer the range of services that women need.
