DWP Digital are partnering with Makers to offer a Level 4 Apprenticeship in Software Development or DevOps Engineering.

DWP are looking for people who want to work on developing and supporting important systems that sit at the heart of government. You don’t need any prior experience in code (although useful) as we will teach you all the fundamentals via Makers renowned coding bootcamp at the start of your position. DWP are running two cohorts for 2023 starting from July 2023 and September 2023.

Positions are available at various DWP Digital Hubs across the UK. Software Developer positions available in London, Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester. DevOps Engineer positions available in Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Sheffield and Blackpool.

A Level 4 Software Developer and DevOps Apprenticeship is the equivalent to a foundation degree and allows you to ‘learn and earn’ from day one with a  salary of £28,117 – £32,515, depending on location, for Software Development and DevOps Engineer salary of £28,117.
