Description

Our mission is to help organisations on a local and global scale, raise profile, communicate impact, empower communities and change behaviours.

We do this by combining strategic thinking, innovative technology and human centred design to create engaging brands, sustainable websites, apps and animations for diverse global audiences.

We’re now looking for a full stack developer + support manager to join our core team in Bristol.

We are looking for a developer to:
– Develop new websites
– Respond and resolve support issues
– Implement iterative developments on existing platforms
– Manage our external development resource.

Working alongside a passionate team of designers, your first responsibility will be to develop, QA and deploy new projects to a live environment. Providing technical project management, you will ensure each project meets the brief and scope of work, is delivered on time and within budget.

Responsible for our Support Portfolio, you will oversee software and plugin updates, monitor security and performance

Be our first response for support tickets and queries raised through our support portal by clients. Investigating and resolving issues; deploy fixes, update the client, close the ticket and update our internal systems. At the end of the month, review monthly support reports for anomalies and recommendations.

On large scale, complex projects, you will be supported by our collaborative external development resource.
Undertake regular reviews of infrastructure and processes in terms of performance and security, to ensure we are providing the most robust solutions for our clients.

We use a range of Open Source frameworks and technologies. A large proportion of our portfolio is built using WordPress and Magento (so you really need to be super confident and experienced with these). Familiarity with Umbraco would be useful but is not essential. WooCommerce experience is the primary requirement. Any experience with Shopify is a bonus.

Ideally, you will be familiar with commonly used front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js and f back-end technologies, primarily as PHP, with a knowledge of Node.js, or Python being a bonus.
Plus you will have experience of, and be familiar with deploying websites to hosting environments, using GIT code repositories, writing and responding to tickets in platforms such as Trello, Jira, Basecamp, Assembla or similar platforms for managing development delivery and collaboration.
