During this continuing period of expansion and growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Testing Agent to join our Product team.
The opportunity
Role: Testing Agent
Location: Bristol
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Starting date: ASAP
Salary: £32 – £35k
As a SaaS company, software testing is a vital component in supporting our quality assurance. Our Testing Agents provide ongoing product testing in collaboration with our software developers and product experts.
The successful candidate will need to have technical aptitude and enjoy working in and around IT systems. We’re looking for someone who enjoys problem solving and has an extreme attention to detail.
Responsibilities
· Working closely with the Support Team and managing the testing required to support fortnightly patch releases
· Testing the fortnightly patch release including side by side testing
· Working with the Product Team during development sprints to write and plan testing criteria for the major product releases
· Testing the product release:
o Unit testing individual product changes
o Integration testing changes with the rest of the product
o Regression testing the platform
· Test planning
· Cultivating test packs, writing test conditions and scripts to support repeatable testing, cultivating test data
· Writing and maintaining test automation
Required abilities and qualifications
· Attention to detail
· Comfortable navigating different software packages for the purposes of testing or using it to test (CRM, Issue Management, Postman (API), etc.)
· Willing to learn different software and context specific information for client institutions
· Experience of software development lifecycle (highly desirable)
· Experience of software testing in an Agile environment, working closely with developers and product owners (highly desirable)
· Experience of writing testing strategies, test planning, acceptance criteria definition writing, logging faults, features and bugs, documentation of test cases for repeatability (desirable)
· ISTQB certification in Software Testing or equivalent (desirable)
· Writing SQL experience (desirable)
· Automated testing experience (desirable)
Location and Travel
The successful candidate will follow a hybrid working pattern, working from our Bristol office 3 days a week.
Working hours will be 35 hours per week.
