AI Assurance Techniques

For all of you out there that are working with, or considering implementing AI within their companies or work and wanting to know more, then the work going on in government may be of interest to you.

The Department of Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) has launched the Portfolio of AI Assurance Techniques.

Led by the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation (CDEI), the portfolio features case studies of AI assurance techniques being applied by companies and organisations using cutting-edge technologies across a range of sectors.

Explore the case studies and learn more about how these techniques can support wider AI governance here.

The portfolio was designed to be a valuable resource for those developing and procuring AI systems to understand how AI assurance techniques can help them measure, evaluate, and communicate the trustworthiness of AI systems, as well as how those techniques align with the regulatory principles published in the UK’s AI White Paper in March.

The portfolio will also be featured in the OECD-AI Policy Observatory’s Catalogue of Tools and Metrics for Trustworthy AI. Find out more here.
