Workshop Wednesday

17 May 2023, 6:30pm - 9:00pm

All levels are welcome to come along and use the opportunity to study We’re partnered with the lovely Codehub lot so feel free to pop along and have a chat with like-minded attendees.

Currently we offer:

  • CS50: for those interested in getting a grounding a Computer Science, CS50 (Harvard) provides an excellent remote course. We provide a space where learners can watch lectures (bring your own headphones!), read notes, attempt and discuss the lab sets or problems, and share experiences with others. (Note: this is not a taught course – the emphasis is on self-study and sharing.)
  • WebDev: an opportunity to work on your own project or course and learn more skills from others. If you are looking at showcasing your talents you can get support setting up a portfolio website.
  • Study Group: a quiet place to study, code or work away from the more interactive groups.
  • Bristol Data Science and Machine Learning: Join their group here Drop-In Session
  • Women’s Tech Hub: Separate table for the WTHub lot to support, chat and generally work out what you want to do in your career. We’ve made this a women only table as we realise that we’ve dropped our Friday women only group and wanted to recreate that to give you chance for honest discussions.
  • Python Code Dojo: The Python Dojo is a mixed group coding session, in a non-competitive, collaborative and fun environment. It is hosted by the Women’s Tech Hub and usually occurs at Workshop Wednesday’s.

Other groups may also be arranged – we’re working on it so watch this space (spoiler warning, there may be data, git and python)
