Guest blog – Alishba Eman- Youngest female author in AI and Mental Health
In a world where technology often feels detached from human emotion, Alishba Eman, a 21-year-old medical student from Karachi, Pakistan, is proving that empathy and innovation can and must coexist.
Recognized nationally and internationally, Alishba has dedicated her early career to exploring how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be integrated into mental health care and medical practice. Her research spans from CNN-based femoral head segmentation to AI-assisted mental health diagnostics, showcasing the power of machine learning in advancing human well-being.
Beyond her academic accomplishments, Alishba has authored multiple books, including “Cognitive Code: Integrating AI into Mental Health Practice,” which bridges neuroscience, psychiatry, and AI. Her work has earned her official endorsements from the Deputy Commissioner Karachi South and the Human Rights Department, Government of Sindh, as well as the prestigious Grand Master Title from the Asia Book of Records, Global youth Award london nominee, Invite by Neoteric Summit USA, “Young achiever” award winner by National Media Foundation on 14th August 2025.
Alishba’s story isn’t just about scientific achievement it’s about leadership, perseverance, and purpose. She represents a generation of young women in Pakistan who are breaking barriers in STEM and redefining what it means to be a researcher in the 21st century.
“I want to use AI not just as a tool for technology,” Alishba says, “but as a bridge to understand the human mind better to make mental health care more accessible, compassionate, and personalized.”
